GOVERMENT-

Canada is committed to participation in inteational study and research partnerships that build understanding among peoples, develop global citizens and leaders, and contribute to the development of nations. Inteational Trade Canada (DFAIT) is responsible for the Govement of Canada's participation in major Inteational Scholarship Programs. DFAIT provides support to inteational scholars in Canada, which is often reciprocated by foreign govements which support Canadian scholars in their countries.

MULTICULTURAL-

Canadian multiculturalism is fundamental to our belief that all citizens are equal. Multiculturalism ensures that all citizens can keep their identities, can take pride in their ancestry and have a sense of belonging. Acceptance gives Canadians a feeling of security and self-confidence, making them more open to, and accepting of, diverse cultures. The Canadian experience has shown that multiculturalism encourages racial and ethnic harmony and cross-cultural understanding.

INDUSTRIES-

The diversification of Canada's economy helps drive innovation. Cross-industrial partnerships between universities and private-sector organizations have created regional innovation centers across the country.
